EraldoCoil's News

Posted by EraldoCoil - September 10th, 2011

Hello all, I'm not dead despite what most people probably think. I've been busy with college and the like, but I do have some amount of good news.

First, in case you haven't heard, I've been working on remixing a lot of my older tracks and releasing a full-length album for free. It's been slow remastering and recreating these older tracks, but it has been fun, and it should be out soon enough.

Speaking of remixing, I've already given you guys a sample of my new work with my remake of my older song, "Blow Me a Kiss." Auditions for the vocal version are still going on, so if you're a female voice actress/singer, PM me! The one I like the best will be released on Newgrounds, and the other ones that don't make it will be on my aforementioned album, so everyone is still a winner!

Anyway, as far as other projects go, I've recently obtained a Line 6 toneport, allowing me to record guitars, finally. I'm super excited about this, and I've recently worked on a guitar version of "Maku." It's pretty sweet.

Which brings me to my next topic. If any musicians on here need a guitarist for their songs, I'd be more than happy to help! Just send me a PM. I have over five years of experience of playing, so I'm more than capable!

Another thing I've been working on isa slew of house tracks, inspired by French house artists. I've learned a lot of production techniques here lately, and I'd venture to say that these tracks will be some of my best I've ever made. Bold words, but I think you guys and gals will agree.

And finally,<I'm no longer - ~ K o i r u - k u n ~ -; I'm now known as [dj ~Rinslett], or simply [~Rinslett]. I was getting bored of - ~ K o i r u - k u n ~ -, and its stylization was kind of a bitch to type every time.

Keep the reviews and support coming, people. You guys are awesome!

Yours truly,

[dj ~Rinslett]

Well, I'm finally done with my spring semester, although summer classes start in two weeks. And, then there's the bad news: my laptop is acting like a total prick, and has been rather screwy for a while. Which means, sadly, I won't be making any music until I figure it out.

The good thing is, though, people: I've still been writing music on my guitar, as always, so even if I'm not messing with FL Studio, I'm still writing music. I've also been planning on maybe releasing a dubstep track, once I do get my laptop fixed again.

Till next time,

After all this time having writer's block, I've finally found a cure. A good friend of mine asked me to compose some songs for her short film project, and in the process of writing her music, I've lit my creative fire once more. Also, I've discovered some new production techniques, which has made these songs sound better than ever.

============================

The Film's music

The Silver Theme - the first (recut) theme for her film.

The Dark Theme - the second theme for her film.

============================

Some other songs I wrote on my creative high

Ai - another 8-bit track.

Blow Me a Kiss (instrumental) - a full-length J-pop-style dance song.

============================

Hope you guys like this music! ^_^

Yours truly,

If you're probably wondering why I haven't made any music in a while, it's because I have a bit of artists' block right now. Will be updated later.

Yep, that's right. I'm now co-composing a soundtrack for an upcoming, untitled beat-'em-up game in the vein of Castle Crashers. Hey, and I already have one track done:

Character Select (Loop 1)

Stay tuned for the main theme, along with a pirate-themed track, coming soon to an audio portal near you.

Oh, and here's a teaser piece from Minicollosus, the lead director, producer, and character designer. And yes, that guy has an apple for a head.

Co-composing a soundtrack.

So, I guess they finally chose a heroine for MegaMan Legends 3: Sephira. I wasn't crazy about her at first, but she's growing on me. The only thing I hope for is that she doesn't become another love interest for MegaMan, considering we already have Tron and Roll.

Personally, I'm still incredibly excited for this project, since I've been waiting for it for around ten years now. I'm really excited about the voice acting bit. I can't wait till they allow submissions! I may just enter...

Oh, and, if you haven't heard, my song Maku (8-bit) has been released, and it's the best song I've written yet. I eventually want to make a full, non-8-bit version, but this one will have to suffice for now. Also, I have to thank all you guys for the positive ratings (4.08!) and downloads (5!). I really appreciate it.

Also: a tasty new song from my good friend FlaskBear: he covered Maku! It's really awesome.

Also Also: Maruyama (A.K.A. Trouble Bruin) rocks in Dynamite Headdy. He is also my new icon.

EDIT: NEW SONG - A Moment of Respite! A classical 3/4-timed piece inspired by Dark Cloud 2. Enjoy!

Later, Eraldites.

MegaMan Legends 3, and music!

I has it.

I've uploaded two songs, one created with Anvil Studio, the other with FL Studio 9 Demo Version.

Songs

Rainbow-bot (E.C. Mix): My MIDI remix of an unlockable record in the Nintendo DS game WarioWare DIY. Composed entirely by piano roll, this one actually took around four days to fully create. I think I need to turn down the synthesizers just a bit, though.

What a Drag...: A simple 8-bit loop that I made using Kazuya's 8-bit Buzz Generator in FL Studio. This was originally a song I made in WarioWare DIY, but I decided to recreate it for your listening entertainment.

There will most likely be a few more songs in the next few days. Enjoy.

Okay, so I've been a member of Newgrounds.com for a few months, and I still haven't made a news post... So, here goes nothing...

ERALDO COIL'S FIRST NEWS POST, LIKE, EVER

Anyways, my name is [censored], but you can call me Danni Phoenix (my main handle) or EraldoCoil (as in Death Note).

My main hobbies are anime, gaming, manga, and music. Anime-wise, my all-time favorite is the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, followed by Rurouni Kenshin, Outlaw Star, and Death Note. My all-time favorite manga series is Death Note (so much better than the anime), followed byGTO: Great Teacher Onizuka (so hard to find more volumes!), and Naruto.

Gaming is too long to list all my favorites, so I'm just going to cut to the point of this post - MegaMan Legends 1 & 2 are the best games ever, and I've been ecstatic since they announced MegaMan Legends 3. And since they said that fans are going to contribute, I'm all the more STOKED.

Okay, but here's some big news, for those (non-existent) people who want me to make music: I'VE DOWNLOADED SOME PROGRAMS. MUSIC WILL BE RELEASED VERY, VERY SOON..

I've already written many songs in WarioWare: DIY, but all of them I've yet to
record in MP3 form. Some are actually decent. Some, however, are totally skronky. Be prepared.

As for my musical style, well, it's a little all over the place. I love 8-bit music, but I also love (some) house music such as early Daft Punk. My all-time favorite band is Crush 40 (Jun Senoue's band, A.K.A. the guys who play all the theme songs to the 3DSonic games). And, as a guitarist, I love a lot of virtuoso talent such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Dream Theater, Crush 40, etc. I also adore anime theme songsand even a littleJ-pop. So, yeah, it's everywhere.

So, you can expect probably some sort of eclectic mix of all of the above. Maybe.

Ciao for now, Eraldites.
